EHA Impact Ventures
About
EHA Impact Ventures (EIV) is a nonprofit impact investor backing early-stage African women entrepreneurs building businesses in health, nutrition, climate, and livelihoods. Across the continent, women lead the majority of small businesses yet receive less than 2% of startup funding — leaving community-rooted solutions in critical sectors underfunded. EIV exists to close that gap.
We provide flexible, founder-first capital paired with deep, hands-on operational support — including mentorship, governance guidance, grant-writing help, and wellness resources — informed by our own team's experience building health ventures in Africa. Unlike traditional funds, we charge no management fees and reinvest every return through an evergreen model, so every dollar keeps working for the next generation of founders.
To date, EIV has raised over $12.7 million and deployed more than $5.5 million into women-led ventures, supporting businesses that have created 400+ jobs (56% held by women) and improved health, nutrition, and livelihood outcomes for communities across Africa. Our portfolio spans sectors including food security, mental health access, and climate-resilient agriculture.
By 2035, our goal is to support 35 women-led African businesses, help create 10,000 jobs, and reach 3 million people with improved health and economic opportunity. When African women rise, everyone rises.
